Very good rod. I took the lighter rod .52g to 1.76 I think. Had a 100g lure on it (which is waaaay over the rod limit) and used it since we were traveling in Japan and didn’t have any other options. This was deep sea fishing too. Handled all the fish well. Sensitive, had a 4000 reveros reel with powerpro braid 20lbs spooled on it. The rod is a medium sensitivity. It’s very parabolic rod and no issues with rod connection. I’m planning on buying the heavier rod for sure. The only issue I found is the reel seat screw is at the top and the direction of the screw is lefty loosely so when you’re fighting a heavier fish, putting strength will sometimes loosen the reel. <— if you know what I mean. Holding the reel between your fingers which you grip part of the reel screw.I also did beach fishing, shore fishing, dock fishing, rock fishing for any species.Overall the rod is great! I definitely recommend it if you are going for any game traveling. It cast small lure too and got bunch of smaller fish too.Have fun and hope this helps all anglers.
